SUNDAY SCHOOL STRATEGIC PLAN

Theme: "Building a Firm Foundation"

Matthew 7:24

This strategic plan is designed to transition the CEECK Sunday School department from its current state to a vibrant, curriculum-driven ministry that serves as a benchmark for child Evangelism in Kenya.

Strategic Goal:

To revitalize the CEECK Sunday School through standardized teaching, teacher empowerment, and high-engagement programming.

Quarter 1: Foundation & Alignment (Months 1–3)

Focus: Audit, Standardization, and Vision Casting

  • Departmental Audit: Visit key regions to assess the state of classrooms, teacher-to-child ratios, and current curriculum usage.
  • Curriculum Standardization: Distribute the official CEECK Sunday School syllabus to all branches and provide a "Teacher's Guide" for the year.
  • The "Vision Launch": Host a National Sunday School Teachers' Conference to introduce Rev. Sarah Angachi's vision and the new "Vibrant Sunday" model.
  • Safety First: Implement a standard "Child Protection Policy" across all assemblies.

Quarter 2: Capacity Building (Months 4–6)

Focus: Training and Infrastructure

  • Teacher Training (TCE): Partner with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) or similar bodies to offer Teaching Children Effectively certifications for all lead teachers.
  • Resource Development: Create a "Resource Bank" (digital and physical) containing lesson plans, visual aids, and worship songs.

  • Talent Identification: Identify children with gifts in music, drama, and recitation for the upcoming National Rally.

Quarter 3: Vibrant Engagement (Months 7–9)

Focus: Programs and Outreach

  • Vacation Bible School (VBS): Execute a nationwide, week-long VBS during the August school holidays focused on a central theme (e.g., "Soldiers of the Cross").
  • Community Evangelism: Organise "Sunday School Open Days" where children invite unchurched friends for a day of fun, games, and the Gospel.
  • Digital Integration: Launch a CEECK Sunday School YouTube channel or WhatsApp broadcast for weekly memory verses and Bible stories for parents to use at home.

Quarter 4: Celebration & Evaluation (Months 10–12)

Focus: Measurement and Planning

  • National Sunday School Rally: A high-energy national event featuring Bible quizzes, talent showcases, and awards for the "Most Improved Sunday School."
  • Impact Assessment: Compare attendance and spiritual growth metrics against the Q1 audit.
  • Graduation Ceremony: Formal transition ceremonies for children moving from Sunday School to the Youth Department.
  • Year-End Report: Submit a comprehensive progress report to the Bishop and General Council.

  • Curriculum Adherence: 100% of branches using the approved CEECK manuals by Month 6.

🕊️ BISHOP'S CHARGE TO THE CHURCH

Delivered at All Saints Shibutso Parish during the final Joint Service of the Year

28th December 2025

Beloved in Christ,

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. On this final Sunday of 2025, gathered here at All Saints Shibutso Parish, I greet you with a Heart full of gratitude and hope.

We have journeyed together through a year of challenges and triumphs, and today we pause to reflect, to give thanks, and to charge forward with renewed vigor.

1. THANKSGIVING FOR GOD'S FAITHFULNESS:

We begin by lifting our hearts in thanksgiving. The Lord has been gracious to the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches of Kenya (CEECK). From our humble beginnings in 2008 with fourteen parishes, we now witness a growing family of faith, rooted in the Word, empowered by the Spirit, and anchored in the sacred traditions of the Church. This growth is not by might nor by power, but by the Spirit of the Living God.

2. OUR IDENTITY AND MISSION:

As CEECK, we are a unique expression of the Body of Christ, called to bring Christ to the people. Our mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, nurture believers in the faith, and serve our communities with compassion and integrity. Our vision is to be a vibrant, Spirit-filled communion that transforms lives and society through holistic ministry.

3. THE THREE STREAMS CONVERGENCE:

We are a church of convergence—Liturgical, Evangelical, and Charismatic. This sacred harmony is not a compromise but a divine synergy:

  • Liturgical: We honor the sacraments, the Church calendar, and the beauty of sacred worship that connects us to the historic faith.
  • Evangelical: We are rooted in Scripture, proclaiming salvation through Faith in Jesus Christ and calling all to a personal relationship with Him.
  • Charismatic: We embrace the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit, fostering dynamic worship, healing, prophecy, and spiritual renewal.

This convergence is our strength. It is the wellspring from which our ministries must draw life and direction.

4. A CALL TO VIGOROUS PARTICIPATION

As we cross into 2026, I charge every department and section of the Church—Men's Fellowship, Ladies's League, Youth Ministry, Sunday school, Evangelism Teams, Choirs, and Administrative Arms; to rise with renewed commitment. Let us not grow weary in well-doing. Let us plan, pray, and participate with excellence and unity.

Let each department:

  • • Set clear goals aligned with our mission.
  • • Foster discipleship and mentorship.
  • • Embrace digital Evangelism and Community outreach.
  • • Prioritize Spiritual formation and Servant Leadership.

5. STRENGTHENING OUR FOUNDATIONS

We must continue to build on the solid rock of Christ. Let our Doctrine remain sound, our Worship reverent and joyful, and our Fellowship sincere. Let us guard against Division, Complacency, and Spiritual apathy.

6. VISION FOR 2026 AND BEYOND:

We envision a Church that is:

  • • Spiritually vibrant and Theologically grounded.
  • • Socially responsive and missionally active.
  • • United in purpose and diverse in expression.

Let us prepare for leadership development, infrastructure growth, and deeper community impact. Let us invest in our Youth, support our Clergy, and expand our reach.

🙏 FINAL EXHORTATION

As your Bishop, I urge you: "Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord" (1 Corinthians 15:58).

The harvest is plentiful. The Lord is with us. Let us arise and build.

May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God, and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

CHRISTMAS 2025

🎄🎉 A Thanksgiving Message for Mrs. Rael Namai 🎉🎄

Delivered on the Occasion of Her Retirement, Birthday, and Commissioning as Diocesan Community Development Services Director

26th December 2025

THEME: "A Life Poured Out in Service – From Glory to Greater Glory"

Scripture Reading: Psalm 92:12-15; 2 Timothy 4:7-8; Isaiah 61:3

Beloved in Christ,

Merry Christmas to you all! What a joy it is to gather on this blessed day—Boxing Day, the 26th of December—not only to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ but also to give thanks for the life, service, and new calling of our dear sister, Mrs. Rael Namai.

Today is no ordinary day. It is a day of triple thanksgiving:

  • 1. 🎂 A Birthday – We celebrate the gift of life as Mrs. Namai marks another year of God's faithfulness.
  • 2. 🏛️ A Retirement – We honor her distinguished service in government, where she has served with integrity, diligence, and excellence.
  • 3. ⛪ A New Commissioning – We rejoice as she steps into a new chapter as the Diocesan Community Development Services Director in the CEECK Church.

Let us pause and reflect on the hand of God in all these.

Indeed, "The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God." (Psalm 92:12-13)

1. A LEGACY OF EXCELLENCE IN GOVERNMENT SERVICE:

For decades, Mrs. Namai has been a beacon of professionalism and dedication in public service. Her career has not only been long—it has been fruitful. She has served with distinction, upholding the values of transparency, compassion, and justice. Her colleagues speak of her as a woman of wisdom, a mentor, and a pillar of integrity.

In a time when public service is often marred by self-interest, she stood out as a servant-leader, always putting the needs of the people first. Her retirement is not an end—it is a celebration of a race well run, a fight well fought, and a crown of righteousness laid in store (2 Timothy 4:7-8).

2. A HEART FOR THE HOUSE OF GOD:

Even while serving in government, Mrs. Namai never neglected the work of the Lord. Her unwavering commitment to the Ladies League Department of the CEECK Church has been a source of inspiration to many. She has mentored women, empowered families, and championed the cause of the Gospel with grace and humility.

She is a true Proverbs 31 woman—"She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue." (Proverbs 31:26)

3. A NEW SEASON OF PURPOSE:

As she now assumes the role of Diocesan Community Development Services Director, we see the hand of God orchestrating a divine transition. Her experience in governance, her passion for people, and her heart for ministry converge in this new assignment.

This is not retirement—it is refirement. God is not done with her yet. In fact, He is just beginning a new chapter. Isaiah 61:3 reminds us that He gives "beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness." This is a season of beauty, joy, and praise.

4. A BIRTHDAY OF PURPOSE:

What a divine coincidence that all these milestones converge on her birthday! It is as though heaven itself is affirming her journey and commissioning her for greater works. We thank God for the gift of her life, her health, her family, and her unwavering faith.

Let us declare with her: "This is the Lord's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes." (Psalm 118:23)

🙏🏽 A CHARGE TO THE CHURCH:

As we celebrate Mrs. Namai, let us also be reminded that each of us is called to serve in our own capacity. Whether in Government, in the Church, or in our homes, may we serve with the same excellence, humility, and faithfulness.

Let us support her in this new role. Let us pray for her, walk with her, and labor alongside her for the transformation of our communities.

🎉 CONCLUSION

To you, Mrs. Rael Namai, we say:

Thank you for your service.

Congratulations on your new role.

Happy, blessed birthday.

And may the Lord who has begun this good work in you bring it to completion.

May your life continue to be a testimony of God's faithfulness.

From Glory to greater glory!

Amen.
